Overview

 

The Provider Outreach Supervisor oversees and manages the daily activities for a team of Provider Relations Outreach Representatives. This position is responsible for the assignment and monitoring of the various provider relations outreach and escalations queues in order to be compliant with the EOHHS contract. This position will have 7 direct reports. This position works closely with providers (large provider groups, hospitals) to address complicated escalation and complaint issues. Additionally, this position works closely with EOHHS staff, especially the various Program Managers and operations staff to resolve highly-visible escalation issues.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for assigning day-to-day outreach work items.  
  • Monitors employee performance for compliance to established protocol (SLA).
  • Effectively leads coaches, trains and counsels Provider Relations staff.
  • Researches and responds to any escalated provider inquiries and requests in a timely, professional and informative manner.
  • Works closely with EOHHS staff and other MAXIMUS staff to resolve highly visible escalation issues (CARTS).

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; Preferably in the fields of Health Care or Business
  • Two (2) years of provider enrollment experience or credentialing in a health care environment (i.e. healthcare facility, managed care setting, insurer, credentialing verification organization) required
  • At least 1-2 years of prior supervisory experience 
  • Previous experience in working with MassHealth providers required
  • Knowledge of MassHealth of provider enrollment regulations and requirements
  • Knowledge of the Massachusetts provider community preferred
