The position of Supervisor – Child Support is responsible for the day-to-day operation, direction of workflow, staff, and customer service provided by designated unit within the Project. The Supervisor ensures contractual deliverables and service level agreements are met by identifying, developing and implementing quality and performance efficiencies for respective staffing units.


  • Maintains oversight, supervision and provides direction for designated unit
  • Provides all direction to subordinate staff on workflow including; customer service solutions, programmatic operations, contract service level agreements and, quality of work
  • Maintains oversight of all areas of responsibility within staffing unit. Tracks and monitors performance against goals.
  • Develops and implements methods to improve performance with purpose of attaining goals, within respective unit(s)
  • Ensures program operations are in compliance with all applicable contract requirements
  • Provides direct supervision and staff development to subordinate team of 6–10
  • Implements performance management practices and strategies that includes, but is not limited to; regular feedback on performance, completing performance evaluations and merit increase recommendations
  • Administering disciplinary actions, and identifying and implementing growth and development opportunities for staff
  • Makes staffing and hiring decisions related to needed staffing levels. Works with Human Capital on requisitions, candidate selection and hiring
  • Reviews work completed for completeness, accuracy, consistency and, conformity within programmatic policies and procedures
  • Develops department specific performance goals, in cooperation with Management
  • Monitors goals and provides gap analysis, as needed

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • A minimum of eighteen (18) months of experience in child support enforcement, customer service, or a related field
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience and/or in a lead role
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Windows, and adept in learning new computer applications and systems
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
