We are seeking a Senior Software Tester for designing testing scenarios, conduct testing and there after analyze the results. This position requires a strong understanding of SQL skills. Open source tools experience is a big plus.

 

Responsibilities

  • Write complex queries using joins for back-end data validation and data extraction
  • Write SQL queries
  • Develop, document and maintain test scripts test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
  • Review engineering designs to make sure that the designs meet the contractual requirements

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in from an accredited college or university required
  • At least seven (7) years of backend testing experience required
  • Strong SQL skills required
  • In-depth understanding of relational databases
  • Experience writing complex queries using joins for backend data validation and data extraction
  • Experience using open source tools such as Maven, GIT, Jenkins
  • Experience with ATDD/Agile/Scrum
  • Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining test scripts test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and put it into practice
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Open source tools experience preferred

 Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for up to 80% of time
  • Ability to stand for up to 20% of time
  • Work is performed in an office environment with a low to moderate noise level
