The Sr. Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all associated financial responsibilities spanning multiple locations in the NY Career Pathways Contracts. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for managing day to day project financial processes to ensure contract compliance for the NYC Career Pathways Contracts. These contracts are a combination of line item and performance based payments.  This role will also be responsible to oversee process improvements in financial analysis and reporting. The successful candidate for this position reports to the Project Director. This is a leadership role to manage, serve and oversee as point of contact/liaison all financial processes related to all facets of the NY Career Pathways Contract’s fiscal activity.



  • Preparation of financial budgeting, forecasting and all required financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, while performing variance analysis between forecast and actuals
  • Development and maintenance of a monthly financial dashboard for Executive Management
  • Ensure effectiveness of accuracy and timeliness of forecasting, reporting, accruals, and other financial related processes and systems on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Provide direct financial leadership and support for assessing service allocation rates, composition of cost pools as well as bases for new allocations
  • Work with Group and project finance teams to develop, administer, and implement process improvements and solid communication of the methodologies and cost allocation expectations for utilizing the Shared Services Platform
  • Develops and recommends practices and procedures to ensure financial reporting controls are in place and work with other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures

  • Manages pricing/new initiatives

  • Work with project management teams to develop, administer, and implement process improvements and solid communication of the methodologies and cost allocation expectations for utilizing the Shared Services Platform

  • Coordinates with Audit departments to ensure compliance with Governmental regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics or related field of study required
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience required including private sector experience required
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, analytical, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
  • Demonstrated hands-on work experience and knowledge to forecast, budget, report, analyze data and ability to enhance ongoing financial processes while working well with others
  • Must possess strong proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word (MS Access a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and present to executive management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services
  • Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently
