Regular Full-Time


Review and adjudicate Prescription for Transportation forms (PT-1), requests for Personal Reimbursement (PR) and Transportation Escalations. Outreach members and providers to educate on MassHealth transportation benefits and how to obtain them, if qualified.


  • Access, read, and interpret client and provider information in a variety of online programs, including MMIS, MA21, and MassServe.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the EOHHS Transportation Regulations and KC materials.
  • Reconciling PT-1 forms with all MassHealth regulations and policies, including: Research for 0.75 miles walking distance (using Mapquest, Google); Research all available public transit resources; Research MassHealth provider participation; Research medical services available locally (using MCO websites/provider directories, MMIS, and other electronic resources);
  • Outreach member and/or provider for clarification, where applicable; Document all actions in MassServe.
  • Review and respond to member and provider Transportation Escalations, including: Explain denial reasons, including transportation regulations and rights to appeal; Complete change of address and forward updates to Regional Transit Authorities (RTAs); Assist with urgent requests or elevated member issues
  • Document all actions in MassServe.
  • Research for public transportation availability for Personal Reimbursements
  • Research and indicate accurate member addresses, receive address verification and determine locality.
  • Process check requests in MA21 (Member Special Payment)
  • Serve as a resource to the CSC on Transportation issues and cover helpdesk line (for CSC Managers only)
  • Assist Manager with projects and tasks as needed.

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience as a MassHealth Member Customer Service Representative required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Overall knowledge of MassHealth program and regulations
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline and detail-oriented work environment; successfully executing many tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to learn regulations and policies and educate others on the specifics
  • Comfortable with customer service outreach and assistance to members and providers, as well as being an internal resource
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
