    The Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA) established a strategic initiative called ConsularOne to implement the new technology framework and the online services. The ConsularOne initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework to better support the services provided to CA’s customers (United States citizens and non-citizens living domestically and abroad).

     

    The main objective of the Consular Systems Modernization contract is to provide the services and technology required to support the ConsularOne program

     

    This position is contingent upon award of the Federal contract.  This project will be located in Washington, DC.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and manage project tasks, deliverables, schedules, resources and communications including risks and issues
    • Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project
    • Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources
    • Develop the project schedule
    • Ensure delivery of project, documentation and other deliverables in line with the project methodology
    • Identify and manage all project issues and risks and, bring them to the attention of the PMO for resolution or action as appropriate
    • Prepare status reports and deliver to the client and PMO
    • Ensure that standards and project methodology as defined by the PMO are adhered to throughout the project life cycle
    • Liaise with client to ensure that all requirements are taken into consideration as the project progresses
    • Identify changes that cannot be accommodated within agreed time, budget and quality
    • Identify and fulfill resource needs in consultation with the PMO and HR
    • Manage sub teams within the project
    • Provide technical guidance as appropriate and necessary

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required
    • At least ten (10) years of IT industry experience 

    • At least five (5) years of Project Management experience 

    • Prior Siebel CRM experience is required

    • Strong technical background is a plus

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift or transport items weighing up to 20 lbs.
    • Work is performed in a fast-paced information technology environment

    Additional Requirements as per contract/client:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
