Responsibilities

  • Assess privacy incidents reported to the Privacy Official Office
  • Triage all reported actual and potential privacy incidents, as needed
  • Review and negotiate as needed Business Associate Agreements and contracts from a privacy perspective
  • Support and participate in regularly scheduled meetings
  • Assist with revising or developing, as appropriate, policies and procedures at the project and the corporate level to maintain contractual, regulatory and statutory compliance
  • Manage or contribute to, as appropriate, the development of corporate and project privacy training and awareness materials
  • Assist with responding to project and management ad hoc questions and tasks related to privacy
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management
  • Reports to Director – Privacy
  • Any location is acceptable – Pittsford, NY preferred
  • Some travel required

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • Juris Doctor required
  • IAPP certification required (within six months of hire)
  • Broad understanding of HIPAA Rules and application to MAXIMUS operations required
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note and Access)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and thoroughness in processes and documentation
  • Four to eight years of professional/related experience preferred
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently
