    *This is a remote position that requires working from a home office; candidates may be located anywhere in the US.



    Reporting to the Vice President Performance Analytics, the Sr. Manager Operational Analytics will have a keen interest in applying statistical analysis, visual analytics, and optimization/simulation modeling into real-world operational processes to improve decision-making and drive business change. This role will have a passion for interpreting the “story in the data” for a lay audience and using that information to drive process-centric improvement, and quantify results and ROI.  Expected results are forward-looking and include reduced downtime, improved productivity, and increased operational agility. The position will provide leadership to other staff, and execute ad- hoc requests.

    As a key member of the Standardized Operations and Analytics group, the role will interact will all levels of the organization and must be willing to work directly on the “front – lines”. The position is expected to travel up to 50% of their time.


    • Oversee the planning and execution of analyses – often interrogating data and other information to perform root cause analysis, impact assessments, or to identify key measures and indicators of process performance making recommendations to improve or correct performance
    • Apply appropriate statistical analysis and quantitative methods to analyze data and predict future trends and variability especially in producing and maintaining reliable forecasts.
    • Lead and oversee the use of simulation and optimization technologies and tools for both process design and ongoing operational decision support especially in the area of staffing optimization
    • Develop performance management processes using business intelligence tools to identify issues and implement contingency actions.
    • Develop process monitoring methods to determine how changes in conditions, operations, and other factors will affect outcomes.
    • Work with operational management to create and improve analytical planning and improvement strategies.
    • Build strong working relationships to enable process improvement driven from analytical findings, interpretation and effective use of process models, presentation objects and other analysis artifacts.
    • Provide leadership to team members including training and development, hiring, performance measures, assignment of responsibilities, annual review, and performance plans.

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    •  BA in operations research, mathematics, business analytics, statistics, industrial engineering, management information systems or related field required, MS preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience performing quantitative and qualitative analyses of existing business processes based on in-depth knowledge of organizational and or client objectives.
    • 3+ years of leadership in the management of relevant statistical forecasting, optimization and simulation
    • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling including linear regression, segmentation, non-linear predictive (e.g. logistic) regression and machine learning
    • Passionate about data analytics, strong strategic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong organization and project leadership skills, and strong attention to detail
    • Experience working with large datasets and reporting or visualization tools, ability to tell a story using data
    • Ability to embrace Business Intelligence and Business Process Management concepts, tools and intent.
    • Ability to proactively manage stakeholder expectations on current and future business needs
    • Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts in a clear, precise and actionable manner
    • Knowledge of complex relational databases, mathematical modeling and statistical software, business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
    • Outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment requiring juggling of multiple priorities.
    • Must possess superior oral and written communication skills.


    • Experience with statistical tools and concepts (R, SPSS, SAS)
    • Experience with programming language such as Python
    • Experience with Microstrategy, Tableau, or other visualization tools
    • Experience with government sponsored health care programs and operations
