    Overview

    We are seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to join our team to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client located in New Carrollton, MD. Our client wants our staff on site providing support at the IRS facility 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday but other 2 days you can work at home! The IRS facility is conveniently located directly across the street from the New Carrollton Metro station!

     

     

    Employment is contingent upon contract award.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the Product Manager to define the roadmap for any given product and translate this into epics, user stories, and/or use cases; ensure epics and user stories are loaded into the Rational CLM tool
    • Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process, which occurs every 9 weeks, prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
    • Select and execute development and test activities using the appropriate Agile methodologies, applying lessons learned and continually adapting as necessary
    • Develop and maintain product iteration dashboards to track and report on product development status
    • Conduct agile ceremonies and meetings with project stakeholders
    • Matrix-manage a multi-disciplinary team
    • Coordinate as necessary across projects and lead the effort to provide Agile sprint and release progress metrics
    • Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage (alpha/beta/production)
    • Actively and openly share knowledge of best practices

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Science from an accredited college or university required
    • Master’s Degree or specialized experience in the technologies that meet the specific statement of work for the services to be provided may be substituted for years of experience
    • Nine years of experience required specializing in management, resource allocation, or information technology. Including full cycle software/web development and/or implementation expertise
    • Experience coordinating work efforts with all pertinent parties to ensure problem resolution, management control and user satisfaction
    • Demonstrated experience in the application of Agile methodologies to complex development and integration projects
    • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading the development and delivery of web applications to customers
    • Must possess at least one of the following Agile-related certifications: Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional, PMI-Agile Certified Professional, SAFe Scrum Master, or SAFe Agilist
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Skilled in using MS PowerPoint and Excel for tracking and presenting project metrics and status
    • Ability to work well independently or in a team setting

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience with managing automated testing as part of product development
    • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools
    • Experience with IBM Rational CLM

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work is performed in a general office environment

    Additional Requirements as per Contract:

    • Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus)
    • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years, and be Federal Tax compliant
