  • Project/Position Introduction

    This role is a for a Regional Nurse Manager in the Downstate region.  The position will be based out of lower Manhattan and will require travel throughout the downstate area.


    Bachelor degree, RN License and supervisory experience required.


    Regional Nurse Managers oversee a unit of Assessment Nurses, assigned by geographic area. This position involves ensuring that Assessment Nurses are in the right place, at the right time, and performing the right services.  The position includes QA responsibilities such as random post-assessment site visits.  


    • Supervises the nurse assessors in a designated region
    • Responsible for the training and development of Nurse Assessors
    • Monitor the activities, schedules, productivity and assessment results of an assigned group of Nurse Assessors
    • Reviews clinical documentation including pending denials for each regional Nurse Assessor in real-time
    • Collect QA information from assigned nurse assessors
    • Disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation
    • Lead regular team meetings and act as the point-person for the region of Nurse Assessors
    • Conducts scheduled and random post-assessment home visits to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Promotes project image and goals through public speaking engagements and local professional presentations


    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
    • Master's degree in a health, social services, or communications field from an accredited college or university preferred
    • At least four (4) years of RN experience in medical/surgical/geriatric/LTC/ambulatory care
    • At least five (5) years of experience working in community settings involving health and human services
    • Computer literacy
    • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a stressful and changing environment
    • Ability to work with community groups
    • Knowledge of long term care services and programs preferred
    • RN license is required.
