  • Overview

    This position interfaces with the Client, Health Plans and represents the New York Medicaid Choice program. The position will also serves as a liaison between the health plan and client.


    • Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with health plan management
    • Establishes, plans, and convenes meetings with health plans to discuss issues and updates in the program
    • Coordinates between the health plans and systems staff for the flow of data and files, and resolves any inability to receive correct data from either the plans or MAXIMUS
    • Conducts public speaking and education/information activities to providers and plans
    • Provides technical assistance and information to plans regarding all consumer case transactions
    • Liaison to Local Districts, State, and Federal Government contacts
    • Assists in creating policy and procedures for new processes
    • Troubleshoots and provide guidance on enrollment issues
    • Oversees set up of MOVEit accounts for external contacts
    • Reviews reports on FIDA case issues, service refusal reports, and collects assessment reports from Health Plans
    • Responsible for staff training and development

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    • 2-4 years of experience in health, human services or health insurance required
    • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in any industry is required
    • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in the health or social services field
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Computer literacy
    • Proven ability to work with private and public sector managers
    • Ability to follow directions
    • Ability to handle pressure
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to perform comfortability in a fast paced
    • Ability to complete deadline oriented work environment
    • Ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Ability to work as a team member
