  • Overview

    The incumbent supervises Quality Coordinators involved with PASRR Level II determinations, as well as overseeing all contract-specific processes and associated complaint resolution.

    Responsibilities

    • Assists the Program Manager with cultivation of a high performance team-oriented environment that is consistent with the culture and values of Ascend. Assists with all required tasks related to employee schedule changes and time off. Participates in interviews and making recommendations for selection of new employees. Conducts supervisory meetings as assigned.
    • Assists the Program Manager with enhancing contract performance through monitoring and enforcing compliance with contract requirements, communicating all recommendations and actions with the manager. Facilitates cross-department collaboration for optimum contract performance.
    • Assists the Program Manager with maintaining a positive customer relationship through ensuring effective communication with customers and employees, assisting with the resolution of customer complaints, and properly documenting relevant customer complaint information.
    • Plays a prominent role in onboarding and training Independent Contractors (IC) and in ensuring the consistent measurement of IC quality.
    • Assists the Program Manager with continual process improvement initiatives by monitoring assigned workflow and processes. Completes assigned tasks in the areas of monthly and quarterly reports, IC and state billing, and facilitation of meetings as assigned.

    • Works collaboratively and effectively with IT to ensure that product and service applications and technologies are optimized for contract compliance, productivity, and quality performance. Ensures that all employees and contractors understand and comply with HIPAA and privacy laws while utilizing all Ascend applications and related software/technology.
    • Completes quality reviews on Quality Coordinator and Clinical Reviewer employees as assigned.
    • Performs other job duties as necessary or assigned.

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    • The job requires a Master's degree in a health care and or social science discipline.
    • Three or more years of clinical/quality review experience and at least one year of prior leadership experience.
    • Excellent management skills
    • Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
    • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
    • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
