  • Responsibilities

    -Maintains updated knowledge of Insurance Affordability Programs and the information required for eligibility.
    -Maintains updated knowledge of project and corporate policies and procedures as referenced in the employee manual and other desk procedures for the position.
    -Front-line contact for issues identified by Research Administrators, including but not limited to: complex escalated issues, research unit concerns such as workload distribution/prioritizing, coordination between different project functional areas and ensuring.
    -Provides supervisory support to the Research Supervisor on an as needed basis to ensure efficient production levels in the unit.
    -Liaison between the Research supervisors and agents to resolve escalated issues or to provide feedback on unnecessary/inappropriate escalations to ensure proper cross-training is happening at the Research level.
    -Accesses, reads, and interprets data elements on all applicable MAXIMUS, Project, and systems to provide support, resolve inquires, and educate consumers.
    -Responds to all inquiries consistent with confidentiality and privacy policies and refers consumers to alternate sources when appropriate.
    -Enters appropriate data and information into the applicable systems to process applications and/or update caller information, confirm the accuracy of the customer information and uses every call as an opportunity to provide education and support.
    -Provides assistance to consumers seeking health care coverage.

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma with 6+ years experience, or Associates degree with 4+ years experience.
    • Typically has specialized training or education in relevant functional area.
    • Works on a variety of assignments requiring considerable judgement and initiative.
    • Able to draft or modify training materials and procedural documentation accurately.
    • Skilled in handling challenging communications with external contacts for escalated matters.
