    Reporting to the Manager of Business Process Analysis, the Process Architect is responsible for modeling, analyzing, deploying, monitoring, and continuously improving business processes across the organization. This role is highly collaborative and will provide process support to one or more implementation teams concurrently.  The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, (applied both in person and remotely) as regular interaction with project technical, operational and executive stakeholders is expected.

    As a key member of the Standardized Operations and Analytics Performance Analytics (SOA-PAX) team, the Process Architect will function not only in direct support for project implementations, but also serve as an organizational expert and representative of the Business Process Management discipline.  The role will be responsible for capturing operations level business processes and translating these into executable business process models ready for automation.  Additionally, the role will require participation in other continuous process improvement activities, help in managing project engagements, and execution of ad-hoc requests.

    The ideal candidate is capable of applying their BPM expertise at all levels of process thought – able to present high-level process diagrams to an executive audience, as well as produce detailed, technically correct process models in support of process automation application implementations.

    Responsibilities

    -Oversee all leads and staff that provide support to the Client’s mission and objectives.
    -Assist the Program Office and other partners in managing multiple IT projects.
    -Use industry best practices in accordance with service polices to manage programs/projects.
    -The successful candidate will be part of a larger Program Management team supporting the Infrastructure PMO office.
    -Recommend technology insertion points that result in significant cost or time savings.
    -Recommend hardware and software system components to acquire, process and store scanned images, including an acquisition plan and recommended equipment refresh cycles.
    -Evaluate the acquisition of scanned images for permanent retention under the client’s guidance for electronic records.
    -Design and deploy an interface between the client’s Kofax digitization software, the document repository and CMRS.
    -Document to-be workflow, including the creation of workforce training materials.
    -Refine operational cost estimates based on specific workflow processes.
    -Run a prototype and pilot of the system for no less than 6 months.
    -Modify the pilot system for production, as needed.
    -Create necessary documentation to satisfy the client Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) process if necessary, and IT Projects deliverables as outlined in the client’s SDLC and as necessary per COR direction for final implementation.
    -Provide project management services for the duration of the task order

    This is a remote position and can work anywhere in the United States

    Duties / Responsibilities:
    • In collaboration with business and IT subject matter experts (SMEs), identify, document and assess the high-level, end-to-end business process landscape of an organizational unit.
    • Identify and document lower level business processes and analyze these processes for improvement and automation opportunities within the context of the full end-to-end process landscape.
    • In partnership with Business Analysts & IT resources, design processes for optimized automated performance. Activities may include assessing available process automation technologies (in light of the existing end-to-end process landscape), creating technical requirements for process automation - including process data mappings, and drafting business scenarios and use cases for creation of process test scenarios.
    • Create operationally and technically accurate business process models in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN 2.0), for consumption by multiple audiences including:
    o Process automation implementation teams responsible for deployment of process automation technologies.
    o Operational Analysts responsible for producing process simulations and operational forecasts.
    o Operations Management responsible for continuous process improvement.
    o Business intelligence and reporting responsible for implementation of process monitoring solutions.
    • For both automated and manual business processes, develop and implement methods for process monitoring and control, using quantifiable process performance metrics to identify process performance targets, deviations and opportunities for improvement.
    • Implement BPM standards and “best practices” on all projects and facilitate BPM skill building across the organization contributing to the increase of the organization’s overall process maturity.
    • Develop expert knowledge of business operations for each business unit engaged and collaborate with supervisors, managers, and project leadership to uncover process improvement opportunities and formulate proposed solutions.

    Education Required: BS in operations management, operations research, industrial engineering, management information systems, or related field required. MS preferred.

    Other Requirements:

    • Experience with modeling for automation, monitoring, simulation or optimization of processes.
    • Technical experience in systems and IT architecture, software development, and/or system administration OR proven experience in health/human service operations management and process design, analysis, and improvement methodologies.
    • Experience supporting implementation of process automation tools such as robotic process automation (RPA) or intelligent business process management suite (iBPMS) applications.
    • Certification or proven experience modeling in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN 2.0).
    • Demonstrated ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment requiring juggling of multiple priorities.
    • Strong understanding of business process management (BPM) concepts, including process modeling and analysis.
    • Knowledge of government-sponsored health care programs and systems preferred.
    • Involvement in BPM best practice development and implementation preferred

    • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience consulting within designated function.
    • Advanced degree preferred.
