    The 2020 CQA program is the functional group at the Census Bureau that interfaces with citizens over the phone and other communications channels to assist them in responding to and completing 2020 Census Forms.

    MAXIMUS Federal Services (MFS) is seeking a Sr. Information Security Analyst to join our 2020 CQA Human Capital team.

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    Provides support to Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for subsystems of a large, integrated system. 

    • Creates security documentation including policies, procedures, plans, and standards covering NIST SP800-53 controls
    • Champions security within the team and serves as a reference for security processes. Functions as a Subject Matter Expert on the National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800 series.
    • Works closely with team of security analysts to ensure generation of documentation and evidence from the SMEs to address monthly continuous assessment activities.
    • Reviews, monitors, and reports Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) status to all stakeholders and follows up with appropriate personnel to ensure that POA&Ms are remediated and reported in a timely manner to the POA&M Manager.
    • Ability to successfully multitask and complete difficult assignments within deadlines which may have short lead times.
    • Effectively organize complex information into clear, comprehensible written documents such as, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
    • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
    • Participates in special projects as required.


      Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.


    • 5-8 years of related experience in information assurance and/or security operations.
    • Compliance in a NIST SP800-53 environment required.
    • FedRAMP experience required. 
    • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
    • Self-Managing - ability to work alone and as part of a varied, dispersed team;
    • Ability to solve problems individually and collaboratively.
    • Experience authoring system security related documents (e.g. ISCP, DRP, IRP, PIA, PTA, SOP, Plans, and assessments).
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Suite
