    Job Description Summary

    The Manager for Integrated Benefit Services will play a supporting role in designing and executing a multi-year federal health strategy and campaign plan including establishment of priorities and critical milestones, thought leadership activities, development of new industry, academia, and government relationships; and creating new capabilities and opportunities for the company. This pivotal role will work for the Director of Integrated Citizen Benefits and work with New Markets, Government Affairs, Corporate Development, and Sales to further develop and implement the integrated citizen benefits component of our federal health strategy. The overall goal is to open new markets to drive top-line revenue growth for the organization.

    Essential Job Duties:
    •Development and support of a forward-thinking, innovative campaign to assist MAXIMUS Federal Services in further advancing its capabilities and market presence in the Federal integrated citizen benefits arena
    •Be a key member of a small team of experts that will work with the Federal Health team and across the Federal organization to implement campaign activities
    •Support the development of thought leadership activities including white paper and point of view development, speaking at conferences, and supporting other externally-facing events
    •Participate and lead in strategic activities involving legislative and policy analysis, M&A activities, and strategic partnering
    •Support strategic partnership development, including developing ongoing partnerships and adding new strategic partnerships to portfolio including academia, innovative start-ups, solution partners, and large and small businesses
    •Participate in strategic marketing, communications, and outreach efforts
    •Participate and lead industry groups and maintain affiliations/memberships with organizations and government agencies in support of strategic market-shaping initiatives
    •Monitor government and market trends and activities and actively communicate and collaborate with senior agency officials to present new ideas and concepts
    •Coordinate with sales as opportunities develop within the strategic area and assist with pursuit activities at a strategic level
    •Monitor competitors and competitor strategies

    Education and Experience Requirements:
    •At least seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience working with federal agencies including VA, HUD, CMS, DOD, OPM, and SSA supporting benefits and/or health programs
    •Management consulting background, with experience providing strategy, program development, and business process improvement to government clients
    •Experience with proposing and implementing pilots and new concepts within federal agencies
    •Bachelor’s degree required
    •Ability to work in an unstructured environment, designing and executing on growth campaign activities and measurements aligned to strategy and market growth
    •Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    •Excellent written and oral communication skills
    •Proven ability to adhere to project timelines and budget
    •Able to collaborate with combined internal and external teams
    •Capable of developing strong growth-related relationships.
    •Veteran or firsthand knowledge of Veteran and Military life and experience helpful


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    - Manage Project Management team in the planning, monitoring and execution of all projects within the portfolio.
    - Build project management expertise within the team and develop best practices.
    - Coordinate and evaluate the work of the Project Management team.
    - Ensure exposure to risk is minimized on all projects.
    - Provide accurate and timely communication to leadership regarding risks, issues and plans to address each.
    - Based on lessons learned, provides recommendations to leadership to improve business and project processes to achieve improved results.
    - Develop and provide education and training to non- PMO employees regarding PMO processes.
    - Able to travel occasionally.
    - Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
    - Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
    - Able to occasionally lift, carry, or otherwise move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
    - Work is constantly performed in an office environment.
    - Perform other duties that may be assigned by management.

    Minimum Requirements:

    - Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of project management experience.
    - Deliver a single large project or multiple smaller projects at the same time.
    - Make informed decisions and ensure adherence to budgets.
    - Recommend innovative methodologies, techniques, and criteria for projects.
    - Knowledge of workflows and project mapping.
    - Able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
    - Communicate updates and project status effectively and efficiently.
