    Job Description Summary

    As a part of our digital solutions organization, the Test Lead will define test strategies, plan, coordinate, execute, and participate in testing activities relating to the development of web and mobile applications supported by the greater team. Ideal candidates must be highly customer focused, obsessed with quality, with a proven record of working effectively across organizations.

    The test lead will work with and lead a team of test engineers to ensure the highest quality product delivery and define measurable metrics to gauge progress against objective QA goals. They will demonstrate an ability to practice risk management, engage key risk stakeholders, and effectively escalate issues that create business, technical, operational, and project risk. The will identify and resolve gaps for ensuring successful and on-time releases and set and drive expectations around quality for major releases grounded in solid customer impact and product understanding. The test lead musty understand how all elements of the system software ecosystem work together and develop QA approaches that fit the overall strategy. They will also be expected to help to design and enforce code quality standards and engage developers to transform their SDLC methodologies to relying on CI.

    The successful candidate should be a strong hands-on manager with good technical experience and the ability to drive against a high level test strategy based on a data driven quality approach. The Test lead will be expected to champion new approaches to testing and QA. Together with our Software Engineers, the test lead will help design and implement continuous Integration testing methodologies.

     

    Requirements: 

    • Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience 
    • 6+ years of experience in quality assurance with automation responsibilities (or comparable skillset)
    • Strong planning and organizational skills.
    • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
    • Provide development estimates for new development initiatives and enhancement requests.
    • Demonstrated experience with Agile delivery methodology
    • Experience working with a distributed team (on/off shore)
    • Experience with Vendor Management 
    • Proven P&L responsibilities 
    • Experience working in a mixed environment of FTEs and Vendors
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Be highly collaborative, a fast learner and willing to work wherever you're needed on the team.
    • Domain knowledge of health care, call center, or public sector preferred but not required.


    Qualifications

    • Experience creating and maintaining UI automated testing framework and scripts (Webdriver, Selenium)
    • Excellent scripting language skills in tools such as Cucumber, Python, Javascript
    • Experience testing Web services and applications
    • Accomplished Exploratory Tester
    • Proven success working in Agile/XP software development methodologies
    • Experience supporting Continuous Integration
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Working knowledge of retail, online commerce
    • Working knowledge writing and executing performance tests
