    Job Description Summary

    The MAXIMUS Applications Reimagined Solutions (#MARS) Team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Product Analyst to join our Product Team. The #MARS Product Team is responsible for the product vision and roadmap, scoping and prioritizing MVP’s based on business and customer impact in relation to the modernization of the current product offerings for MAXIMUS’ core markets of eligibility, enrollment and customer service.

    Act as liaison between Product Management and technical and operational support groups impacted by products - such as Business Operations, Engineering, IT, Business Development and Reporting/Analytics. Possess knowledge of each group's technical capabilities, systems, processes, capacity, etc. and applies that knowledge to translate the business or user needs into business requirements and possible solutions that can be executed within the constraints of the project and the organization. The ideal candidate is able to look beyond stated requirements to challenge assertions, consider wider impacts and evaluate proposed solutions.

     

    Essential Job Duties

    • Work with business and technology stakeholders to elicit, capture and manage business and user requirements for product development and maintenance
    • Create functional requirements artifacts including process flows, user stories, user story maps and other artifacts as needed
    • Evaluate existing business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, analyze and recommend solutions as they relate to the products
    • Effectively communicate insights to stakeholders to arrive at a consensus for each user story/project
    • Clearly communicate product enhancements and new feature development to stakeholders based on a detailed understanding of predictive analytics needs, requirements and resources
    • Apply adept knowledge in prioritizing requirements and creating user stories through expert understanding of product strategy, plans and roadmaps
    • Conduct in depth analysis of product features, including user behavior analysis, A/B test result analysis, segmentation/funnel studies, product success metrics development, KPI and other product performance metric definition
    • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Understand the software development lifecycle and how to collaborate effectively with the Service Team to deliver amazing features from detailed requirements and prototypes
    • Become a subject matter expert on MAXIMUS business processes and product offerings
    • Provide cross-team general product support
    • Consult with MAXIMUS project teams on implementation of product offerings

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a business or requirements analyst
    • Expert in elicitation and management of business/user requirements, business process modeling and solution evaluation
    • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
    • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
    • Experience with requirements management tools and requirements management best practices
    • Very knowledgeable of MAXIMUS health services contact center, correspondence, and enrollment broker business processes
    • Familiarity with Agile and Product Management concepts
    • Experience working with relational databases and executing SQL queries
    • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
    • Excellent time management skills, results driven, attention to detail and follow-through
    • Experience working and collaborating remotely
