    Job Description Summary

    The Change Manager should be able to respond quickly to identify, plan, and implement significant system changes that need to be made, in order to correct known problems or implement necessary system upgrades. Ensure that the necessary changes that the change manager proposes, are approved thru the required channels both contractor and govt, before implementing the needed changes. Ensure that management processes and procedures utilized for these changes adhere to MAXIMUS policies, standards and systems.

    The Change Manager will work closely with the other program leaders such as the PM, Depty PM, and the Program Chief Engineer to ensure that all requested and approved changes are implemented in a controlled and well thought out process, and that records of all proposed, approved, and implemented changes are kept; and that any client requirements such as appearing before an Enterprise Configuration Control Board in advance of changes being made, are fully met.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    •Serves as expert on matters involving Changes and assist in establishing policy as it relates to the successful completion of change actions required under this Program and in regard to the system baseline.
    •Implements procedures relating to the changes being proposed, approved, and implemented.
    •Provides operational and policy guidance to other staff members when necessary.
    •Ensures development of comprehensive process documentation and training materials
    •Ensures that staff and govt members who need to receive training or information briefs as a result of planned system changes, receive this training or information briefs
    •Establishes an independent way to assess whether a change has been or is being successfully implemented
    •Monitors progress in completing planned changes, and determines when changes have been fully and successfully implemented.

    Education and Experience Requirements:
    •Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience required; preferably in a technical or IT related field
    •US Citizenship required
    •Experience in government contracts
    •At least five (5) years of prior IT related management experience
    •Proven ability to plan and execute change actions on-time and on-budget
    •Broad applied knowledge and experience of IT application development methods and standards and operational service delivery methods and practices
    •Proven ability to manage multiple ongoing change actions
    •Good mathematical, analytical, deductive reasoning, and problem solving ability
    •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
    •Proven time management ability to exercise flexibility and judgment
    •Strong customer/client service focus
    •Able to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels in the organization; able to communicate well with clients
    •Can Perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and guidance.
    •Can Manage across multiple tasks with differing priorities.
    •Provides proactive attention to detail.

     

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    - Provide day to day management and guidance of team responsible for Exchange, Skype, AD, DNS, Identity Management, as well as other products supported by team

    - Coordinate required systems maintenance, patching, and monitoring

    - Implement corporate security practices/policies for all systems supported by team

    - Attend Meetings and provide status reports for ongoing projects

    - Guide direction of team to for multiple ongoing projects. Identify appropriate goals for team members to complete projects and develop team potential

    - Oversee O365 migration projects, as well as ongoing O365 operations

    - Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, peer groups and IT management

    - Work on complex integration projects involving hybrid O365 configuration, consolidation of Active Directory and DNS globally

    - Solution Support Activities

    Education/Requirements:

    - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience required; field of study in Computer Science preferred

    - At least five (5) years of experience in managing a Windows environment required

    - At least five (5) years of IT management experience in Messaging, Active Directory, or Skype for Business (Lync) required

    - At least five (5) years of experience in working with external clients and interfacing with external client's management and technical support required

    - At least three (3) years of experience in managing a team.

    - Strong interpersonal skills

    - Hands-on experience in supporting Exchange, AD, or Skype in a large Enterprise of over 30K users

    - MCSE, MCSA, ITIL Certification(s) is a plus

    - Experience in deploying Skype for Business PSTN conferencing preferred

    - Experience with O365 hybrid deployments and migrations preferred
