    Job Description Summary

    The Business Reporting Analyst performs various analytical, clerical, and administrative duties for the Census Questionnaire Assistance (CQA) contract. There will be also be a very specific and dedicated focus on the task of maintaining a very important report known as the Daily Operations Briefing Deck. This important report process is intense and requires laser-focused attention as it will be visible to very senior and executive levels within the organization and the government. The work environment will be fast-paced and will require an individual to juggle many different tasks while paying attention to details and ensuring deadlines are met. Time management is paramount in this process as well as the analyst’s ability to be available during off-shift hours and weekends as needed. The Business Reporting Analyst will support the on-site operations management team of the Census contract for MAXIMUS. This individual will report to the CQA Senior Operations Analyst.

    Essential Job Duties
    • Provides the CQA operations management team with special project and administrative support, including but not limited to, preparing and reconciling routine status reports.
    • Responsible for converting complex data into visually appealing presentation formats to be delivered to audiences at all levels and make recommendations for action or improvement based upon results.
    • Ensure the integrity of employee data, including performance of regular audits and documentation of appropriate quality control measures, through the proficient use of all Microsoft Office tools.
    • Responds to routine and ad hoc inquiries.
    • Prepares and maintains files and other records for the operations management team.
    • Participates in special projects as required.

    Education and Experience Requirements
    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in the field of Business; equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
    • Five or more years of extensive and demonstrative experience with analyzing and managing large sets of data required.
    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
    • Ability to consistently follow up on tasks.
    • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
    • Attention to details and strong analytical skills required.
    • May be required to work off-shift routinely, to include night and weekend, to support reporting tasks and deadlines.
    • Ability to prioritize work will be a key to success.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • Effective administrative and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in the use of general office equipment, such as typewriter, fax machine, photocopier, and personal computer.
    • Excellent proficiency in the use of basic office-related software applications, such as Outlook, Word, with heightened emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Proficiency in the use of the SharePoint application.
    • Strong typing skills preferred.
    • Government contracting environment is preferred.
    • Security clearance required.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and provide documentation.
    • Non-United States citizens must have resided in the U.S. for three (3) accumulative years of the past five (5) preceding the submittal of security clearance forms.

    MAXIMUS is unable to provide visa sponsorship in support of 2020 CQA Program.

    Residency requirement:
    Non-citizens must possess a valid and non-expired Permanent Resident Card or Employment Authorization Card. The suitability assessment requires residency in the United States for a cumulative period of three (3) years over a five-year period ending with the date of the security application prior to starting work in support of the 2020 CQA program.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    - Support project operations and analyze process, procedure, and system defects.
    - Assist in ensuring that the business requirements and processes are adequately documented and communicated.
    - Identify, analyze, and communicate all system and process defects.
    - Provide production support for Operations.
    - Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
    - Collect, document and analyze business requirements and processes.
    - Monitor process data to identify potential system and process issues.
    - Monitor JIRA tickets in queue for efficiency.
    - Identify, analyze and communicate all system and process defects.

    Minimum Requirements:
    - Associate degree with 0-3 years of experience.
