    Job Description Summary

    Major Purpose:
    The Sr. Training Specialist supports the Assistor and LDSS program in the identification, analysis and implementation of successful content development and learning interventions to promote operational effectiveness and continuous quality improvement.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Designs, develops, and manages training sessions and schedules based on the evaluation of the needs of staff, new hires, and subcontractor personnel and in coordination with management
    • Teaches instructional programs in accordance with training or other course requirements and organize materials to be presented
    • Delivers Instructor led training programs as needed to achieve business outcomes effective transfer of learning in the workplace
    • Reviews and approves the training modules and coordinate with the team to bring consistency and alignment with training and work instructions that allow trainees to demonstrate competence in content and performance effectiveness.
    • Develops a collaborative team that engages and provides team members with opportunities to utilize skills and ideas in developing training outcomes.
    • Participates in process and team meetings in order to identify and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
    • Develops knowledge transfer, team building, and provides effective feedback. Coordinates creation and implementation of the action plan in cooperation with the team to effectively utilize the training environment and systems resources. Communicates with Training team, and asks for feedback on how to strengthen individual and overall team performance.
    • Supports the Training Manager with assigned duties and acts as the department’s subject matter expert
    • Follows the regulatory approval and document management process when creating or updating training materials
    • Creates and develops training curriculum and training materials based on proven adult learning techniques including ADDIE, Rapid Course Development, and Adult Learning Theory.
    • Creates, develops and communicates instructional materials for multiple formats including instructor-led, self-paced training and utilizing corporate –wide knowledge management system.
    • Reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed curriculums.
    • Provides confidential coaching/facilitation and work closely with all levels of operation staff to ensure the integrity of the program and provides highly skilled feedback on operations staff performance in scheduled training and informal skills based coaching
    • Creates and develops training scenarios and updates comprehensive training environment data resources to ensure that systems training mimics the production environment systems tools used by employees on a daily basis
    • Works extensively with business partners and SMEs to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives and design deliverables that meet learner and stakeholder needs and organizational quality standards develop qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to measure learner requirements, competencies, and organizational quality standards.
    • Develops assessments to measure and assess effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in the workplace, integrating results into new and existing course curriculum.
    • Reviews and approves training resources and verifies systems training environment and library of training resources align with operational excellence.
    • Schedules facilities and ensures access to equipment needed and participant notifications.
    • Responsible for adhering to established safety standards
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
    • Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds
    • Work is constantly performed in an office environment
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

    Education Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
    • Advanced degree preferred

    Minimum Requirements:
    - ​Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience; advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
    - Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.
    - Work requires considerable judgment and initiative.
    - Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
