    Job Description Summary

    The Senior Director, Clinical Services Portfolio will play a key role in developing and supporting a multi-year federal health strategy and campaign plan including establishment of priorities and critical milestones, thought leadership activities, development of new industry, academia, and government relationships; and creating new capabilities and opportunities for the company. This pivotal role will work for the Vice President of Clinical Services and work with New Markets, Government Affairs, Corporate Development, and Sales to further develop and implement the clinical services component of our federal health strategy. The overall goal is to open new markets to drive top-line revenue growth for the organization.

    Essential Job Duties:
    •Responsible for developing a robust portfolio of business process services that are aligned with the federal health strategy and target client needs and requirements
    •Includes development, leadership, and management of a product roadmap across health supplier services’ target components based on existing assets and capabilities
    •Responsible for working across a matrixed organization including existing experts, technology and solution development, and others to define needed capabilities and solutions; develop the product roadmap with associated business case justification for investment; and manage/support/lead the development of needed capabilities
    •Support opportunities related to this emerging portfolio including pursuit support
    •Lead the development and support of a federal health workforce initiative to assist MAXIMUS Federal Services in further advancing its capabilities and market presence in the Federal clinical services arena
    •Be a key part of a small team of experts that will work with the Federal Health team and across the Federal organization to implement campaign activities
    •Support the development of thought leadership activities including white paper and point of view development, speaking at conferences, and supporting other externally-facing events
    •Participate in strategic activities involving legislative and policy analysis, M&A activities, and strategic partnering
    •Support strategic partnership development, including developing ongoing partnerships and adding new strategic partnerships to portfolio including academia, innovative start-ups, solution partners, and large and small businesses
    •Participate in strategic marketing, communications, and outreach efforts
    •Participate and lead industry groups and maintain affiliations/memberships with organizations and government agencies in support of strategic market-shaping initiatives
    •Monitor government and market trends and activities and actively communicate and collaborate with senior agency officials to present new ideas and concepts
    •Monitor competitors and competitor strategies

    Education and Experience Requirements:
    •At least eight (8) - ten (10) years of experience working with government contractors in developing and pursuing health-related opportunities
    •Experience working with VA and DHA healthcare facilities and staffing programs
    •Experience with proposing and implementing pilots and new concepts within federal agencies
    •Bachelor’s degree required; PMP or related experience desired
    •Experience with implementing project management, technology management, and product management tools and approaches
    •Ability to work in an unstructured environment, designing and executing on growth campaign activities and measurements aligned to strategy and market growth
    •Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    •Excellent written and oral communication skills
    •Proven ability to adhere to project timelines and budget
    •Able to collaborate with combined internal and external teams
    •Capable of developing strong growth-related relationships.
    •Veteran or firsthand knowledge of Veteran and Military life and experience helpful

    - Requires in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company’s goals.
    - Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.
    - Influences policymaking.
    - Reports to VP level.
