The MAXIMUS Director for Software Engineering will lead, facilitate design, develop and support operations of our technical solution and software engineering team leveraging graduate / post graduate interns from a leading university. We are looking for a senior technology leader with experience architecting, developing and implementing Enterprise solutions specifically RPA, AI/ML and Big data analytics utilizing Scaled Agile methodologies, DevSecOps tools on the AWS / Azure / GCP cloud.
Essential Job Duties:
The MAXIMUS Director Software Engineering will be responsible to develop and execute the following initiatives/strategies:
•Design and implement Software Development strategy with highly qualified graduate / post graduate university talent focused on building industry specific solutions and developing competencies from initiation through delivery
•Program initiatives will include onboarding, rotation solicitation and placement, performance management, mentoring, technical leadership, training and development
•Provide ongoing coaching, training and education to interns while engaging them on developing leading data solutions
•Manage and liaison with functional program representatives from business and ensure clear, communication on solution expectations and deliverables
•The candidate will provide technical solution leadership and support during the development process, to include technology stack selection, solution architecture, and implementation methodology and best practices.
•The candidate will be required to lead and manage a team of interns to participate in developing solutions, facilitating solutions design, validate solution units, and manage implementations
•The candidate will be required to develop and provide presentations and demonstrations of technology solutions to both internal and external stakeholders
•The candidate will be responsible to maintain close communication and coordination with the university and develop a strong relationship with the stakeholders
•Deliver best in class internship experience and manage performance
•Execute the onboarding, learning and development strategy for interns entering the organization to assist with transition from college to corporate, driving engagement
•Continue to seek out new ways to enhance programs and its value to the business
•Create new programs to address changing business needs
•Manage a high performing team and manage budget
Education and Experience
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, field of study including computer science or related engineer field
•Must have a minimum of (15) fifteen years managing and implementing software solutions using industry leading platforms to include JAVA, Big Data platforms, AI and RPA with knowledge of Cloud Native services in AWS / GCP / Azure
•Good understanding of technologies to include Microservices, Data Management, Analytics and Machine Learning, RPA, and Cloud
•At least (10) ten years of hands-on experience in architecting, leading and delivering enterprise data solutions using leading industry platforms and enterprise COTS applications
•Recent hands-on experience designing and implementing AI, RPA and big data technologies based solutions including leading a team of technical engineers
•Proven experience communicating with technical and non-technical business personnel and ability to manage a team of junior developers
•At least (5) five years of recent experience directly guiding and mentoring developers and providing management of program technical tasks
•At least (5) five years of experience using Agile development methodology, and working experience in a DevSecOps environment is highly desired
•Passion for growing and developing entry level talent
•Strong time and project management, teamwork, execution and organizational skills
•Proven coaching, developing and people management skills
•Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, especially senior level leaders
