About the Conflict-Free Evaluation and Enrollment Center (CFEEC)

The Conflict Free Evaluation and Enrollment Center (CFEEC)  serves the State of New York by conducting a UAS assessment to determine eligibility for community based long-term services.  The outcome of the assessment informs whether the individual qualifies for in-home services. We are rapidly expanding and have numerous exciting opportunities for Regional Nurse Managers (and other positions!) across the state.

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversees the training and development of Nurse Evaluators.
  • Supervises the Nurse Evaluators in a designated region to assure quality, productivity, and timeliness of work completion.
  • Monitor the activities, schedules, productivity, and assessment results of an assigned group of Nurse Evaluators.
  • Reviews clinical documentation for completeness, accuracy and consistency for an assigned group of Nurse Evaluators.
  • Collects QA information from assigned Nurse Evaluators.
  • Disseminates policy, protocol change, and ensures implementation across the team.
  • Conducts scheduled and random assessment supervision visits to ensure customer satisfaction through the observation of the Nurse Evaluator’s interaction and communication with consumers as well as the application of the UAS-NY assessment tool.

Required Experience

  • 4+ years RN experience in home care, medical, surgical, geriatric, LTC and/or ambulatory care
  • Prior experience using the UAS-NY Community assessment tool

Required Qualifications

  • RN licensure in NY State
  • Bachelors’ Degree in a health, social services, or communications

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a clinical setting
  • MA degree in a health, social services, or communications field required.

Job Description Summary

• Supervises the nurse assessors in a designated region

• Reviews clinical documentation including pending denials for each regional Nurse Assessor in real-time
• Collect QA information from assigned nurse assessors
• Disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation
• Lead regular team meetings and act as the point-person for the region of Nurse Assessors
• Conducts scheduled and random post-assessment home visits to ensure customer satisfaction
• Promotes project image and goals through public speaking engagements and local professional presentations
• Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Nurse Director

Required Education BA degree in a health, social services, or communications field required
Preferred Education MA degree in a health, social services, or communications field required. RN licensure required

Required Experience 4+ years RN experience in medical / surgical / geriatric / LTC / ambulatory care; Minimum of five years of experience working in community settings involving health and human services; experience working with constituent groups
Preferred Experience

Required Skills Computer literacy; highly developed written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a stressful and changing environment; and proven ability to work with community groups
Preferred Skills Knowledge of long term care services and programs

Bilingual Preferred – Spanish, Russian, Haitian-Creole, Chinese
Other Willingness to travel required; NY State Driver’s License required; vehicle may be required, depending on region
