About the Position

Maximus administers the Independent Practitioner Panel, which completes assessment reviews and issues practitioner orders for New Yorkers who qualify for long-term in-home care. This is an exciting new program that directly contributes to positive long-term outcomes for vulnerable populations in New York State.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Training Manager to join the program.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs and materials to ensure business requirements are met
  • Forge and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that both tactical and strategic goals and outcomes are met
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives, and design deliverables that meet the business needs and organizational quality standards
  • Create and organize training sessions, and deliver instructor-led training programs as needed to achieve business outcomes and effective transfer of learning in the workplace
  • Complete hiring and performance management processes to support a high performing training team
  • Lead the design development, manage training sessions, and schedule training based on the evaluation of the needs of staff and new hires in coordination with operations management

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience with at least 3 years of management experience
  • Experience with eLearning, content development and or familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Required Qualifications

  • NY state Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Bachelor’s Degree for RN and Physician Assistant, Master’s Degree for Nurse Practitioner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Internal Medicine, Adult Health, Community Health, Family Practice, Psychiatry
  • Experience leading a remote team and delivering training in a remote environment; experience with content development targeted toward advanced practice medical staff (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs)

Job Description Summary

Job Summary

The Clinical Training Manager plans, directs, and coordinates all training and development activities for the IPP Program and proactively identifies current and applicable learning and development strategies for the project and implementation training strategies. The incumbent undertakes regular program assessments to determine skills to strengthen or teach and actively engages with program leadership for feedback on training needs.  The Training Manager remains current on best practices in clinical training strategies and is actively involved in developing collaborative working relationships with other local NYC training teams and Maximus projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage collaboration with stakeholders to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives and design deliverables that meet the business needs and organizational quality standards

- Create and organize training sessions, and deliver instructor led training programs as needed to achieve business outcomes and effective transfer of learning in the workplace

- Forge relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that both tactical and strategic goals and outcomes are met

- Develop and implement training programs and materials to ensure business requirements are met

- Complete hiring and performance management processes to support a high performing training team

- Provide confidential coaching/facilitation and work closely with all levels of operation staff to ensure the integrity of the program and provides highly skilled feedback on operations staff performance in scheduled training and informal skills based coaching

- Ensure Training Specialists and Operations staff are provided with up-to-date knowledge of project related updates, processes, and procedures

- Lead the design development, manage training sessions, and schedule training based on the evaluation of the needs of staff and new hires in coordination with management

- Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs developed or administered through evaluation, testing, and assessment of program outcomes

- Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs

- Develop assessments to measure and assess effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in the workplace, integrating results into new and existing course curriculum

- Maintain a library of training aids

- Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position

- Performs other duties as may be assigned by Management

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree Required

- Master’s Degree Preferred

- NYS Licensed RN, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Required

- Preferred Specialties for Nurse Practitioners: Internal Medicine, Adult Health, Community Health, Family Practice, Psychiatry

- Five (5) years of related experience with at least three (3) years of management experience;

- Experience with eLearning, content development, and/or familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) required

- Experience leading a remote team and delivering training in a remote environment; experience with content development targeted toward advanced practice medical staff (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs) preferred

- Strong leadership skills; ability to lead an effective training program; excellent communication skills and ability to communicate successfully with all members inside and outside of the organization; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products; knowledgeable in the use of various training platforms; able to adapt to and integrate new technology; ability to perform comfortably in a changing, fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

- Knowledge of long-term care services and programs
