Job Description Summary

Maximus is looking for a Program Manager/Principal Enterprise Architect to support different verticals within Federal Services.

Essential Job Duties:
• Lead the development of cyber security architecture and designs of enterprise IT COTS security solutions into geographically dispersed data centers
• As a program management lead, align business objectives and requirements to mission requirements
• Conduct design and discovery workshops with multiple stakeholders
• Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements
• Identify design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
• Ensure the mapping of data elements provided by COTS products to the Logical Data Model
• Lead and/or support the development of solution product costs for procurement
• Work internally to develop strategic plans for architecture, engineering, and integration
• Provide reporting and feedback to senior management as required
• Document, manage, and report on project risks and opportunities

Position is remote in Washington DC area only, and will periodically require being onsite at the Maximus McLean, Virginia office.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree; additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree
• Minimum of 4 years of enterprise IT architecture experience and a minimum of 12 years of hands-on enterprise IT engineering experience for a total of 12 to 16 years of experience
• Experience implementing multiple types of technical solutions using COTS solutions in complex and heterogeneous IT data centers and commercial cloud providers.
• Architecting, designing, engineering, integrating, configuring, and deploying COTS solutions into data centers
• Understanding of 2 or more of these IT/Security functions; identity and access management, networking, and system engineering and application development.
• Leading enterprise IT solution activities from cradle to grave
• Understanding the data sets or information provided by COTS tools in support of the needs of the organization
• Minimum of 4 years of experience architecting or engineering within Fed/CIV, DOD, or Client
• Must be able to speak to emerging Cybersecurity, Cloud, or other IT technology trends
• Experience collaborating with Agencies to mature operational processes, reduce redundancies, and develop innovative solutions
• Experience understanding organizational needs, proposing solutions, and managing project execution efforts designed to deliver overall program benefits for Government Agencies
• Experience collaborating with US Government Agencies and commercial entities to develop IT service program maturity in accordance with Federal IT mandates and best practices
• 8 Years' experience in ensuring customer satisfaction, problem resolution, and risk management on several medium to large projects
• Experience in conducting assessments of an Enterprise by reviewing technical documentations, conducting interviews and workshops to identify gaps and develop tailored solutions is highly desired
• Demonstrated experience in security solution design using existing and emerging technologies to achieve enterprise solutions

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
• Microsoft Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• JIRA experience
• iServer experience
• Ability to present to senior leadership and the client

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Determine optimal architecture to support business requirements and solve highly complex technical challenges.

- Keep up with industry trends and development and contribute to ongoing R&D.

- Guide and mentor architects and engineers establishing and maintaining architecture of highly complex solutions.

- Produce solution architecture and estimates to support initiative proposals and business development.

- Contribute to standards and approaches for architecture of enterprise data solutions.

- Optimize overall data/information flow by reducing redundancy and enabling accessibility within security boundaries.

- Identify data-related business requirements and service standards and translate these into actionable architecture design.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technology related field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or another relevant field.
- 12+ years of technical experience.
- 10+ years of technical experience in a data-centric area, such as: enterprise data solutions, data architecture, data integration.
- 3+ years of related technical experience in a lead or architect role.
- Advanced technical and business knowledge of enterprise data solutions.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of cloud-based and cloud-native systems and applications.
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to effectively communicate (including written, verbal, and visual) at all organizational levels: customer, team member, management, and executive.
- Understanding of enterprise business concepts, including processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
- Extensive experience contributing to technical initiatives supporting a large organization.
- Ability and willingness to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
- Superior decision making and critical thinking ability.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
