Remote opportunity! The Technical Writer supports the Florida Healthy Kids project and supports IT documentation…managing technical and functional documentation.  

Job Description Summary

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage the technical and functional documentation for product development.

- Document internal processes for training and marketing material.

- Manage SharePoint and Confluence sites to ensure all documentation is current.

- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure technical and functional requirements are captured.

- Manage and delegate assignments to Document Specialist team.

- Create and maintain supporting project documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in related field.

- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.

- Demonstrated leadership qualities such as the ability to motivate, teach, and facilitate individuals and groups.

- Able to work independently and in a team environment.

- Advanced technical and functional writing skills.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Client focused deliverables experience (create documentation that complies with contractual requirements)
  • Technical thinking
    • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts
    • Ability to take complex information and deliver in an understandable format
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to write concise, accurate, and clear policies, procedures, technical plans, etc.
  • Solid problem solving, decision making, and strategic/critical thinking
  • Detailed and solution oriented
  • Organization and project management skills
  • Time management and timeline driven
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • Adaptability
  • Technological skills:
    • Excellent MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet and Visio (or other process mapping tool.)

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
